Charleston County deputies looking for person involved in domestic violence incident on James Island

JAMES ISLAND, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities are searching for a person wanted in connection with a domestic violence incident.

Officials with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) said the incident happened around 6:30 a.m. Monday on Scott Hill Road.

They said the suspect ran from the area.

James Island Elementary School was temporarily placed on “secure” status due to activity near its campus; however, the school has since returned to normal operations.

Deputies are still searching for the individual. They said there was no threat to the community.
