Crews responding to leaking propane tanker on Sullivan’s Island

SULLIVAN’S ISLAND, S.C. (WCBD) – Emergency crews are responding Monday to a leaking propane tanker on Sullivan’s Island.

Police said the tanker is on Station 22 1/2 Street near Dunleavy’s Pub.

An evacuation of a half mile radius is underway, according to the Sullivan’s Island police chief.

The Ben Sawyer Bridge is closed to traffic. 

Fire and police personnel are on scene evaluating the situation.
