Heavy rain through the afternoon Thursday

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Waves of showers and heavy rain is expected through Thursday morning into the afternoon.

According to Josh Marthers from Storm Team 2, we can expect rain until 3 p.m. with a possibility of flooding in the Lowcountry.

“The risk of severe thunderstorms is quite limited, I don’t think we’re going to have a major threat from tornadoes or significant wind damage, or large hail – but we will have some strong wind outside of that,” said Marthers.

Storm Team 2 says frequent wind gusts are expected in the 30-45 mph range.
