CCSO searching for suspect in Thursday night shooting

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities are searching for a suspect connected to a Thursday night shooting that left a man injured.

Deputies with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) responded to a home off Casey Street shortly before 8:00 p.m. and found a man suffering from at least three gunshot wounds.

The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Officials with the sheriff’s office said the victim’s injuries were not life-threatening.

Meanwhile, deputies searched the surrounding area for a possible suspect. Deputies were engaged in a brief foot pursuit at one point, but the suspect was able to get away.

Deputies were able to recover some clothing and a CCSO K-9 discovered a firearm that is believed to have belonged to the suspect.
